Pauline joined New Leaf Solicitors as a consultant in
January 2020, marking the latest chapter in a distinguished
legal career spanning almost three decades. Her vast
experience across all areas of relationship breakdown allows
her to provide bespoke, efficient and effective solutions to
both complex and not so complex aspects of Family Law.
Whether she’s advising on amicable divorces, drafting
pre-nuptial agreements or some of the more uncommon remedies
of trusts and estoppel, Pauline is known for being
compassionate and understanding - but always decisive.
Regardless
of the emotional details of her case, she remains calm under
the most intense pressure. Her focus is always on designing
clear strategies which enable her clients to achieve their
outcomes as quickly as possible.
Over the course
of her career, Pauline has made valuable contributions to
several leading regional, national and international firms
including Pinsent Masons. While most of Pauline’s career has
been UK-based, she was fortunate to spend two fascinating
years working in the Falkland Islands from 2016-18.
Pauline
acted for both private and commercial clients across a wide
range of South American and South Atlantic communities
during this international position. The experience provided
her with an extensive understanding of, and appreciation
for, international cultures and legislation. This work
prepared her well for the many multi-jurisdictional matters
that she has advised on since returning to the UK.
Her
wealth of expertise is key to increasing New Leaf’s presence
in Central Birmingham, where she is now based.
Pauline
is proud to be recognised as a Law Society Family Law
accredited specialist. Her work has covered a range of
particularly contentious aspects of the practice area
including, in private children work, child abduction and
wardship. She also provides her clients with expert advice
on the distribution of pensions, property and a wide range
of other assets during divorce proceedings and
unmarried/cohabitee disputes.
Pauline’s strong
relationships with other experts in areas ranging from
actuarial pension forecasting and wealth management to
counselling and mediation allow her to provide her clients
with a comprehensive service. Nothing is ever left to
chance. Pauline always seeks advice on non-legal matters
from other thought leaders, because her clients both expect
and deserve the best. Her commitment to premium client
service means that she is always happy to assist with
Mediation processes and the negotiation of draft
settlements/consent orders following successful outcomes.
Outside
of work, Pauline plays an active role in her local
communities: Kings Heath and Moseley in South Birmingham.
Her fellow members of the Balsall Heath and Moseley Women’s
Institute Committee can always rely on Pauline to keep them
going during long meetings with various baked treats - fresh
from her increasingly popular bread machine.
